Animal Rights
Does anyone less find this a hard topic to read and disuse about. I know for me it hard to hear what they do to these poor animals, though i have to emit that some of these thing that we read in these articles are interseting. I was taking to Ashly about the"A Change of Hart about Animals" articel ( if y'all don't know Ashly, your life in lonely) and knowing Ashly, she has the mind that thinks so logically about things and she pulled this one part out of the article about the pigs and how humans should spend at less 20 seconds with them; she clearly said " it probably the 20secound before the kill them" well something along those lines . I have no clue what i trying to say. this is a really bad blog . There really no point to this, i just wanted to know if anyone finds this topic hard to think about emotionally.
I find this topic hard to discuss as well because my dog came from a previous home where the owners abused her. Ashlay was telling me about this movie she had watched with her father called Earthlings and the two became vegans after watching it. The chickens were left in small coops and they had to get their peaks taken off because they were trying to kill themselves. Animals deserve a lot more than twenty seconds of human interaction everyday. I also liked what Ms. Fletcher said about that law in this other country where if you bought one dog then you had to buy another one so neither would be lonely.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. Most people find it hard to talk about this because they think about what happens to the animals and sometimes people don't want to think about what conditions these animals have to live by because they are earning some kind of profit from what they are doing. When I read the 20 seconds of human contact I immediately thought of how this compared to a human life. I realized that most of us have some sort of human contact almost immediately after we wake up for the day. I could be having to tell a sibling to get up, talking to your parents, or even just talking to someone when you have to buy something that day. Imagining the life of a human who could have human contact for only 20 seconds is nearly impossible especially if we go to school human contact happens as soon as we get even if we haven't reached the campus. Thinking about how this being the life of an animal makes it upsetting to think that people allow this to continue even with all the progress we have made there is still more to be made.
