Many freshmen don’t know what they
want to major in during their first year in college. They use their first year to experiment. They
take a wide variety of classes to figure out what they want to do. However, according
to the article “Excuses for NOT Going to College,” having no major in mind isn’t
a problem. Reason number 7, luckily comforts me. I still can use my freshmen year to discover
my passion. Yes not having a major planned out might be a waste time but at least
I won’t go on study something and then regretting it in the future. So lesson
here is, if you don’t know what you want to do don’t freak out. Don’t think because
you haven’t made up your mind about your career choice you shouldn’t go to
college. Going to college would be the
best decision you can possibly make. So let’s all go to college kids, yeah!

I'm Blank
With millions of career choices out
in the world to follow, I have no idea what I want to major in. There are some professions
that interest me, but I admit I’m too lazy to follow them. For example, I would
like being a veterinarian but going to college for another 8 years, I really don’t
think I’m up for that. When I was
younger I always wanted to be a fashion designer but now I know I’m not creative
enough to come up with some clothing concepts. As of right now, I’m blank.

Yes, as we grow we tend to realize that our childhood dreams seems to be somewhat...impossible for us. I understand what you are going through because I used to want to be a doctor, but I realized that I would have to go through a series of medical schools/ a lot of college courses. I said in my head, "DANG, 1,942,914,124 CLASSES JUST TO STITCH SOME VEINS TOGETHER?!!" Haha. Well, I realized I do not want to be a doctor anymore because I cannot even count to 3. Haha. (Joking) 1,2,3. Well, College will be a great place to start for you guys because the college courses will definitely give you a great start of your future career; even if you do not know what it is. NICE WORK ESMERELDA!!
ReplyDeleteYou spelled my name wrong AICHA ._. !!!
Deletelol. Sorry. You spelled my name wrong to . haha.! AISSHA not AICHA!!
DeleteI'm in the same boat. I have some ideas, but they seem unrealistic. I wanted to be a veterinarian too, but I realize how many math and science courses that are required. Yikes. Those are my weakest subjects. It's not only that I doubt my knowledge, but I think some people (including myself) just don't feel comfortable in a situation with no purpose. I know that going to college is for education, but it is also for a career. I don't want to step foot on a college campus not knowing what I'm going to study the next couple of years. We need help for security and certainty!!
ReplyDeleteI feel it, I feel it! :D
DeleteP.S. You're a great writer.
I understand you! Since I started high school I thought that I knew what it was that I wanted to major in. Once I got to the end of junior year I was like UMMM yea i have no clue if I still want to even consider this major. Now im like oh jesus im going to go into school without even having a major in mind! ugh frustrating i wish that i knew. I knew that there were other people out there that didnt know what they wanted to do but now that i know theres other people in this class well.....
